Mine raised front 2.5 and rear .5.
So far so good. Had to use 1/4" spacers on front to stop tire rub on leading edge of upper control arm.

i bet that v6 is gonna suck gas now..

i just put a 2in level kit on my 08 chevy. it needs at least a 1/2 t0 1 in back to get it back to level, i dont care for the slight nose up stance. it had P265/70/18 ht tires on that were terrible and i put some LT275/75/18 hankook at on it. i have the 4.8L v8 and my gas has gone from 16-16.5 to 14 or less. not liking that at all. i knew it would drop with the heavier tire but didnt think it would be 2 miles. i drive 70 miles round trip to work, may be time to put in for a company ride.

I love my ecobeast. Hauled 6500lbs of wet cypress to the camp over the summer. 150 miles, 12.5mpg. Not too shabby

Most of my driving is around town.
but to work and back is about 60 miles round trip 90% interstate & 4 lane highway.
As for my work I have a fabrication and machine shop catering to the petrochemical industry.

Here are a couple of vessels we built for EXXON in Baytown, Tx.

In case yall didnt realize it when you put bigger tires on the truck it throws the speed-o off. In my case I went to 35 inch tires and the speed-o reads 10% lower than actual speed. That makes the odometer off by 10%. My truck was getting 16 mpg and now it is getting 14.5 mpg, but if you add back the 10% that is another 1.45 mpg. So I didnt really loose anything..

This! On my old truck, I went from 265's to 285's and my speedo was off by 5 mph's. I'm sure that threw off everything else.

BE76, not to jump on you but a lot of people do the same thing. State that the speedometer is off by 5 or 10 mile per hour.
In actuality it is off by a percentage. Take the circumference of the old tire divided by the new tire.
In my case it is 90%.
if it shows 30 I'm going 33, 40=44, 70=77, 120 = jail ;-) and so on.

If you put oversized tires on your vehicle, you can take it into the ford place, and they can reprogram the computer to get "everything back in sync".. I didn't do it, but I know it can be done.

I figured mine is off 1%. I went from a 265 to 275. (31.5 to 32.004) by the math. My gps was always 2 mph faster than my speedo was.

You are correct and you explained something to me. I wondered why it was different at 20 mph than 70 mph. The faster I went, the more my speed was off. Thanks! Any how, that will also throw off your odometer, correct?

odometer tied directly to speedometer.

As a side note the newer fords with built in navigation get out of whack when you change tire size.

Turns out one of fords bright ideas was not so bright.
They built in "dead reckoning" that is calculated through the drive train so when you lost satellite signal in a tunnel or parking garage it would still know where it was?
Let's see a show of hands! How many of you have been lost in a tunnel lately? :stir:

And the dealers can't (or won't) fix this one! :pop:

Just curious Pat... Did you leave out some of the calculation? I know that if I take your example of 90%, 30*0.9, I'm going to end up with 27. But if I take 1/0.9 which gives me 1.11, then multiply 1.11*30 I get 33.3. When I read the above I started scratching my head about how you got there. Had to put my fingers to the calculator to make it work.

So, I had 33s on my truck and last fall I moved up to 35's. Comes out to .94. So now, at 30 mph, I'm actually driving ~32, at 40 it's 43, and at 70 it's 75. That is, if my ciphering is correct...

Am I on target here? Pretty truck BTW!!
