I was telling Hunter about and he said it was a good deal but would cost $100 in diesel to come get it!! I have no idea if it can be shipped or not. I am interested in it, just not sure how I would get it without adding to much to the cost,

Handi rifle in 44 mag

Postby leepurvis » Sun May 13, 2012 12:24 pm

This is from the ATF website:

A nonlicensee may not transfer a firearm to a non-licensed resident of another State. A nonlicensee may mail a shotgun or rifle to a resident of his or her own State or to a licensee in any State. The Postal Service recommends that long guns be sent by registered mail and that no marking of any kind which would indicate the nature of the contents be placed on the outside of any parcel containing firearms. Handguns are not mailable. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun.
[18 U.S.C. 1715, 922(a)(3), 922(a)(5) and 922 (a)(2)(A)]

So you may want to ask the Post Office or UPS/FedEx

Sounds like If you are a legal resident you can mail a rifle in state to another legal resident

The ammo is another issue.

Take the handi down bubble wrap each piece and put in a box that doesn't resemble a gun box and pack it and tape up really well. Take to the post office and mail, don't mention gun. Works the same way with rum... Or so I was told!
