I'm fixen to b homeless

Whatever you want to discuss

I'm fixen to b homeless

Postby huntall » Tue Sep 20, 2016 2:25 pm

Well.....I sold my house and got b out on September 29th. I was hoping to find something set up ready for my needs.
We never could find anything secluded enough that was set up with house and acreage in our price range.
Well....we found 38 acres about as far in the sticks as you can find in rankin county.
We will close on it in a couple weeks.
No house but dang good land and full of deer. Real big barn.

We selling our big fancy house in nice subdivision with all the HOA and everthing and buying 38 acres and buying new doublewde. My oldest brother think I'm nuts but I told him I don't need all that and iv finally came to my senses!

We stacking in at mom's house until we get everything set up.
Gonna be a hellova feeling without a house for little while.
Hope it don't take over 2 months to get everything set up.

Glad you found some good land and it already has a barn on it. Nothing wrong with a double wide but one word of advice, if you can have the underskirking done with bricks it will save you some headaches on down the road.

Congratulations on selling the house and all the trappings of keeping up with the neighbors. Your own land, some privacy, a nice doublewide, nothing wrong with any of that. Take a deep breath and enjoy.

Curious how brick under penning will save headaches? Keeping critters out is all I can think about?

Depending on your insurance policy, it is possible that it could even save you money in the near future. The brick lowers your fire and tornado risk thus it can lower your premiums.

Plus, use some of the money and put in an underground storm shelter. It will give you peace of mind.

You got to man up. Let her know who wears the pants in the family. Trying to keep up with the Jone's, will put you in an early grave.

Oh yes, Sherrie has not worked in 20 years. And when I say jump she knows I mean business.
I just never realized how fast and high she can jump. Almost got me before I made it out the front door. But I still wear the pants in my house.

We had a double wide when we lived at Potts Camp, wish we still had it, would have been paid for now. It set on 10 acres and had a small pond.

I have had the land for a few weeks. Paperwork takes longer than I figured it would
.Finally got my new place set up to hunt...couple home made ground blinds with little burlap and some brush tops and good to go. I got my first hunt in on it this morning . I sit till 9 when it started sprinkling on me. I saw one deer but still
Super excited about getting this place ready for us to move on the place. Nice to have a place I can live on and do some hunting at the house. Expecially for my boys
