This thing came down off the side of the mountain right after I shot, and sat down 30 yards from me and stared at me. It unnerved me !

Not much of a story. Opening day, i walked back & forth between a meadow, and a watering hole. @ 3:45ish, the elk came off a side of a mountain about 300 yards away. I shot free hand once, and the elk just stood there. I was very unsteady on the 2nd shot, and just had to float the crosshairs down & take the shot on the way down. I don't know which shot hit, but the end result is the same, elk in my freezer :)

the cat came out about 15 mins after the 2nd shot, made a bee-line towards me, and sat down about 30 yards away just staring at me. I was too shook up to take a pic. The pic came from my friend who hunted the same spot the next day. The cat came back out, walked 20 yards from him, and he took the pic.
