Congrats and thanks for being a great member of society. Stay busy with hobbies you love and you will be fine. Visit more family and friends as tomorrow is not promised. Remember you don't have to be rich to live rich.

I know you love your wife. Same as I do, but after two months being together 24 -7. I am glad I have two jobs starting Monday, to get me back to doing what I love. I thought I would love hunting every day, but even that gets old. Yet, I must say it beats listening to Sherrie's, stories and history, about folks I have never met. Lol

Lol wait, what? I'm not old just wise. How old do you think I am Flipper?

You see in my profession I see people at their worst times. You get a better appreciation for life. Come February I will be a paid employee for Slidell fire department for 27 years. When we are called out it's not because someone is having a good day. I've seen things that will stay w me till I die. No regrets as I (we) have made a difference in many people's lives.

I'm looking forward to retirement and being able to sleep stress free and finally get a rested night of sleep. Even when I'm off duty, the job stays with you.... good and the bad.

Ahhhhh, I didn't think you were old at all. That's why I was surprised at the wisdom. Your profession, however, explains that. Yes, you do see the worst of times. I admire you for your dedication to helping others. Your advice was spot on!

I know what you mean triple_duece, been retired 10 years after serving 30 years with Greenwood, Ms FD , I always say I wish my brain could forget things my eyes have seen but I know that will not happen till the day I die. I had a great friend one time that was always saying you never talk about your pass..if she only knew I couldn't talk about somethings, I have never talked to my wife about some of the things I have seen and the nightmares still haunt me from time to time.
Be safe man.
