Kids , got to love them

Whatever you want to discuss

Kids , got to love them

Postby gtk » Tue Jan 10, 2017 9:46 am

This was from Friday, after I strongly suggested to my son that the roads were too bad to drive on. Do they listen ? Noooooo. According to him, he "knows how to drive on the snow".. Yep, sure looks like it :bash:

I told him if he wrecks, don't call me.. Well he called, and after making sure no one was hurt, i told him to "handle it"

plenty old enough to know better (18)
he lucked out in that the wrecker you see in the pic, was right in front of him, and turned around and charged him $25 to flip it back on its wheels and tow it 200 yards up the road to a gas station.

some of his friends brought him a floor jack & helped him get air in the wheels..

Reminds me when I was working in Kansas it snowed 14" the second day. I was there a 35 mile drive to work. I got up and took my time got on I_70 after a short drive a truck over took me blowing his horn and flipping me off after a few miles I approached my exit lo and behold the truck had ran off the road and hit a sign the young man's wife flagged me down and asked if I could help and I said I would try. I pulled them out and put them on their way on 4 more occasions I helped and pulled people out of ditches I arrived at work about 10 minutes late as I walked into the meeting one of the local superintendents made the remark I told you guys he would be late being from Mississippi he never learned how to drive on snow and ice I answered you are right I never learned how to drive on ice but we learned early in life how to pull people out of the ditch that do know how to drive on ice and snow

Looks like a fine parking job! Glad no one was hurt! I was dreading the drive from Memphis to Corinth Saturday. Delta solved the issue by cancelling the flight.

Glad he's ok!

Went duck hunting that morning and got "caught" in a pickle. I Jokingly made a comment it would be a fun ride home as the parking lot was iced over.

Moral: trucks + ice = scary
Truck & 16 foot trailer = leave the trailer and go back and get it! I had never pulled a trailer in slick ice. I hope to not do it again!

That's exactly what I'd do. And he'd pay for the repairs I did.
