This is a buddies place. We are building a cabin on it. This utility pole is about 30 yards from it. The bears like to scratch and chew on it.

Here's a picture from back in 2013 when they first bought this property. We put cameras and corn out everywhere and was surprised that we didn't get a lot of deer pictures. LOL. Haven't had time to hunt it much or place cams since we have been working on that little cabin. It's been job in progress for over 3 years now.

Yes sir there is. Well in certain parts of this county. Archery only. My buddies place is in Scott County TN, bout hour and a half away. It's the last cabin before you enter Big South Fork so the property joins.

Naaaaaw, you can walk right up, pat them on the head and scratch them behind their ears. They really like that.

Here is the hunting cabin that we are trying to get finished LadyHunter. All we really lack is siding, getting power from the pole to the cabin and then setting the septic tank. It's 2 bedroom 1 bath. It's beautiful inside. I could live there year round. I'll get a pic of the main cabin shortly.

That's nice Chick. I would love to have something like that, but hunting on leased land I won't build anything else if I cannot move it. I've been burned before and had to walk away from what we built. Maybe one day. Of course, when senior citizens refer to you as that old man, it's not likely.

Looks like a beautiful place and one you will all enjoy for years to come. We started to buy a place in the mountains before Doug had such health issues. I don't know about the Bears though.......

Wow! I used to turkey hunt Big South Fork when I was in college. I also can remember when Dr. Pelton was trying to get a bear population established there when I was in college. He figured out that if you move females with cubs it was a lot less likely that they would head back to where they came. Love me some Sgt. York country, thanks for sharing.
