Getting a new toy!

Postby buckcrazy » Mon Oct 02, 2017 7:11 pm

Friend of mine has 4 older Toyota 4x4’s and is looking to sell this one so I figured I could always use it at my property. It’s a 4 speed 20R 2.4lL 1980 Toyota 4x4 in pretty decent shape for the price. Love these older Toyota’s. Hard to stop them and can run them hard all day. No A/C but the heater works. I’d like to fix it up a little but I tried that before with a 1972 Bronco I had and wound up doing a frame up restoration that cost me about $20k. May just do a little modification to it. Image

I had an '83 in high school. Really wished the front tire had not come off going down the road. I loved that truck.

I had the same truck as well, in about 1984... Mine had been flipped twice down an embankment, and we bought it totaled out. The only thing we didn't replace on it was the passenger door if I remember correctly.

i had some bias ply "P" buckshot mudders on it.. that truck would go just about anywhere...

i also remember, that I kept a callous on the right side of my right knee , from it rubbing on the 4wd gear shift all the time when driving :)
