During deer season, which one do you prefer

Archery, ML or Gun. Last year a friend of mine wanted me to try out one of his converted smokeless muzzle loaders. I sure love shooting that thing. My plans were to use it the rest of the season but i have been thinking to much today so, i dug out the 30.06. Any of you guys just use one method all year long.

I have several guns so it just depends on which one I grab from the gun cabinet. And where I plan on hunting.

I love my compound bow. For gun season I only use my 44 mag. My husband gave it to me for Christmas several years ago when they changed the primitive description. I love the weight, the feel, and especially how it shoots.

Well for primitive weapon season season I used my .35 Whelen and last year it was the gun I chose all year.
But this year when gun season rolled around I went back to my old faithful .270 Remington 700 that I have had since 1986 and had never let me or a couple other hunters down.

I haven’t bow hunted in many years. Now it depends on where I hunt. In the woods, I take the 444 (single shot). Over fields it’s either the Remington 30.06 or the Ruger 270 bolt. I’m in a stand with the latter now.

Bow for 80% of hunts. 20% delta flatlands so enjoy the added reach of the big bore.

Which ever one is in season. When it’s real cold I prefer a rifle in a heated box stand
