Local flooding

Postby jv » Sun Feb 25, 2018 8:17 am

Some pictures of flooding around our house, this area was affected also just two years ago. The closest it is to our house right now is just a few hundred yards and hopefully the rain will cease for a few days to allow for the water to go down.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Sure needs to Chad, after church we rode back down the same area to see how much it had come up from yesterday since we had about 1 1/2 inches of rain last night and it had rose up about 3 inches more. Maybe it will start to fall in the next day or so.

Been raining steady here since six o'clock last night. Looks like more to come. Stay safe Jimmy.

Also heard It has also gone over the emergency spillway at Arkabutla too but have not seen any pictures.
Water came up here another 5 inches last night and a post from the Church of God preacher this morning said that another house was lost to flooding last night.

Enid was 10ft under emergency spillway yesterday (258). Arkabutla was over emergency spillway by 3ft. and they had to open the gates of regular spillway to get water off of side of 55 it was so high but I think they closed them after it dropped yesterday. First time I have ever heard of them doing this. That is a ton of water headed yalls way.
