New mower time...

Postby chadbragg » Tue Apr 10, 2018 8:03 pm

Im in the market for a new mower. Demoed the new bad boy outlaw xp last week. Kept it 1 day and returned it. Supposed to pick up the Exmark lazer z X series with floating deck Thursday. I enjoy trying new mowers out!

Then this morning this popped up on facebook. Image

i really enjoy my exmark. my brother has a new one bought last year, it's real similiar to the exmark but can't remember the name.. It rides super smooth, and has enough power to pop the front wheels off the ground

oh yea, and facebook has mind reading software. I can just "think" about purchasing something, and that product will miraculously pop up in my facebook feed

So glad I don’t have Facebook, if it read my mind every time I think I want something I’d have to get another job for sure!!

Chad, can u or anyone else recommend one for me that will be used to cut about 4 acres flat yard. Only thing is I can't pay over 5,000. What would be my best option? Trying get the best bang for my buck

huntall, I know Chad, started his lawn business with a Hustler. When I was looking to purchase my first. I learned one important lesson. Don't buy from the big box stores or even tractor supply. They do not service what they sell. TSC, was the worst to deal with. While looking at the Hustler, at Lowes in Madison. I just happened to see two guys with xmark shirts on. Turned out that Damon Hartley, was owner of Hartley Equipment in Gluckstat, three miles away. Followed them to the business and have never regretted it. Finest folks, I ever dealt with. Told him what I wanted to spend and how many acres I would be mowing. Bought the residential Quest with upgrades, welded deck clock timer and pro seat. I mowed five acres nearly every week last summer. And at the end of season, only had 46 hours on the timer. Haven't had any problems with the mower, but if I do they offer superior service. Chad, is in the business to make a living, and I trust his judgment. There was just not a Hustler dealer near me, so I went with the xmark. So many to choose from. But which ever you choose. Buy only from a dealer who wants your business and offers service after the sale.

Terry is spot on! Buy a consumer grade as terry did. Its the high end residential and entry level commercial. I love my ferris but currently looking at the exmark. I have this unit for sell. Its the x one hustler with 1160hrs. Has a 26hp Kawasaki. Id take $3250 for it. Image

Picked up the large x series today. Put 1.6 hrs on it and dropped off. Just didn't fit me. Will be ordering the new ferris 3200 with the 37hp efi vanguard (toyota made) this unit has the oil guard which means 5qts and 500hr service intervals.
