I notice there are several names with no points yet that almost always put up good numbers. It’s a long ways from being over. The only problem I have this year is everyone is being too nice, no smack talk.

Good humor and good fun smack talk is what always made this fun. I love seeing and hearing about everything that is killed. I also enjoy laughing when it is appropriate. Where else have you ever heard of deer fishing except on this site?

It's hard to talk smack when you lose your prime hunting place because of a handshake deal

Jerry, you need to let it go. A hand shake means nothing today. Get it in writing and have it recorded. Money talks and friendship walks.

Jerry I'm afraid I'm going to start loosing some of my places. I've been very fortunate to have the places the last few years. The more deer I killed off of their properties the more questions I get asked. I figure it won't be long until cousins brothers uncle is hunting them.

Loose lips, sink ships. I’m very lucky as I bought my own property 12 years ago. It ain’t much but it’s mine. Also have 130,000 acres of public land to do it the hard way when I want. Y’all stay positive, things happen for a reason.

Well I guess I’m just different, I still believe that a firm handshake still means something between people
Sorry this happen to y’all Jerry but I do know what it feels like when someone goes back on their word.

I finally got to see some deer. Took a stand Friday PM and saw 5 does, 2 yearlings, a cow horned spike and a not quite big enough 5 point. Very encouraging. Had to go home Friday night so no weekend hunt again. :bash: :bash: :bash:

Jimmy you are so right
This was a deal between my exstep son, me and Teresa. We leased his 350 acres of prime land last season and when we went back to renew the lease he said, "You have been so good to me that I am going to give you the hunting rights this season" . He was at our house and we were eating and feeding him and his friend. Everything was good until the season opened and he messaged me on facebook and told me he had leased the land. That said we are not allowed to hunt the land. Then he got mad at ME for getting mad at him. As you can imagine where I told him to go.
We will be OK James Robert saw one behind the house this morning but did not get a shot.

No he doesn't Ladyhunter, that was another bad deal. Surely, things will start looking up for him and Teresa.
