It is the most fun you can have with your clothes on imo. Not to mention it is a great way to knock out coons for the turkeys and much cheaper than a pack of coon hounds and less maintenance. My friend who got me started killed over 200 coons in January .

I would suggest starting with binoculars first. I tried just the scope and the fov is so small and after a while you develop(or at least I did) eye fatigue. It is kind of a pain. My friend got the binoculars and with both you can rock all night. With binoculars you can use just a predator light once you are in range. It also is amazing how they work in the daytime as far as sensing heat. I am saving pennies and selling stuff to get my own binoculars.
