Whatever you want to discuss

HE"S HOME!!! HE"S HOME!!

Postby Smacko » Sat Sep 13, 2008 2:05 pm

My son has arrived home after spending 6 months at the Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, IL. He will be home until mid-October before he leaves for Guam..

We will be able to do some hunting together before he leaves... :hap: :hap: :hap: :hap:

We also are going on the gator hunt at the Pascagoula River the last weekend of Sept. :hap: :hap: :hap:

We also did some research and found out that there is deer and hog hunting in Guam...might have to see what it takes and make a trip next year...

I've been to Guam twice. The last time was Jan. - Feb. 08. I didn't take my bow, but several of the guys in my unit did and I think that they got a fully guided hunt for deer and/or hogs for $45! The deer aren't very big, but I saw some pics of good'uns. Can't beat the price. I will be taking my bow next time I go. :ylsuper:

Good luck to your son. My nephew, Michael Atchley from Horn Lake has been there almost 1 year.

glad to hear he's back

you can hunt those elk looking things in guam all year long. my hunting buddy killed a ton of them while he was stationed there. he told me that you had to stalk them though cause the areas he hunted were so thick that you couldn't shoot from the air. he also bow hunted the whole time, not sure if it was by choice or rules
