New Regulations on 4 big lakes....

Postby bwm » Thu Sep 25, 2008 1:42 pm

I read that as of May 29, 2009, new regulations will be implemented on Arkabutla, Sardis, Enid, and Grenada....

The new policy would require all boaters on vessels 16-26 feet to wear a life jacket while the vessel is under power by the main engine. Boaters on this type of vessel can remove their life jacket while the boat's main power source is not running.

Additionally, all boaters on powered boats less than 16 feet and non-powered vessels, no matter the length, will be required to wear a life jacket at all times.

I'm not too happy about the thought of wearing a life jacket on sardis when its 95 degrees !

since they changed the crappie regs, most of the fishermen have abandoned these lakes..sounds like they want the rest to stay away...
