Broadcast Planted RR Corn and Durana Clover

Postby Yellow Lab » Mon May 16, 2011 7:05 am

Here is a RR corn plot that I planted on 4-9-11 and sprayed with glyphosate on 4-28-11.

This corn plot is on a powerline with Durana clover plots on each side.

what % glysophate do u use?

also how many pounds of corn do u use per acre?

also when spraying, do you drive in 1st gear/low or what?

I use 2 ounces of glyphosate per gallon of water and will put out 15-20 gallons per acre.

I have been using 25 lbs of seed per acre to broadcast plant my plots.

I will drive my tractor in 4-low or 1-high when spraying.

Those plots should really give you some great hunting opportunities. Great stand location, nice long open shooting lanes, and plenty of food to attract the wildlife. Gonna be a lot of fun come fall.

That looks better than I thought it would! How long has it been since it rained
for you? I planted my peas about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it has not rained a drop
on my place. :bash:

Got 2.75 inches of rain a couple of weeks ago. This helped to fill out the ears of corn.

It has been a tough year with little rain and lots of heat.
