Checked The Gas Line

Postby terry08 » Sun Sep 11, 2011 6:08 am

And the turnips and rape I planted last week have sprouted. Maybe we will get a shower this week should help them along. I have enough turnips and rape to feed the entire State. Maybe the deer will leave me a few to munch on. If not, well I like venison with my turnips anyway.

I never had much luck with turnips but always enjoyed them on the side of my plate as well. They go real good with fried tenderloin!

As stated before I never seen them eat um except at one camp I hunted. Don't know why but they would devour them there. I plan on having plenty for the neighbors and myself unless the deer prove me wrong.

I've had good luck with ptt/rape...and they eat it well before frost. Not supposed to, but they do.

Adding Daikon Radish this year... big long tap root, deer love this stuff.

Adding the radish to my cereal rye/oats mix too.
