2 of my plots look good, but rain would help them thicken up.
I have 2 more that I planted Oct 1 and they have not had rain on them so they are not up yet.

what's left of my corn is good. deer are wearing it thin though, and don't know if it will last till gun season.

planted several clover & wheat plots this weekend. It's BAD dry up here in Desoto county.

A couple of the plots are doing okay.

One is way dry and growth is stunted on it.

The turnips and rape I don't think will make it. No rain in the 10 day forecast, so that will be 25 days without rain. Will overseed with cereal rye once rain is in site.

Really need some rain to fill out the plots. I do have some good growth, but the deer aren't really utilizing them yet.

Our are doing fairly well the oats came up first and now the rye and clover is coming up. It looks pretty good hopefully it will come on out.

My plot has a lot left for the deer to eat but they are working down the Elbon Rye pretty hard. They have the rye eaten down very short and with no rain it cannot grow back. They are also eating the Austrian Winter peas and the Winter Wheat fairly well but are not eating the Bob Oats much. New growth is stunted but some rain soon will let it all come back strong.

After photo of how it looks now. Notice the center section of Elbon rye has been nearly destroyed.

I think I got a rain on my plots! If so it is really going to help a lot! I am going this weekend and see how they look. I know it rained within ten miles of my place so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that it rained on my place too!
