so how do you guys lime your plots? I mean the back 40 plots that are hard to access by truck.
Ive heard there is a pelletized lime that seems that it would be much better to distribute by a hand seeder.
im about to start laying down some lime and was just looking for some pointers its my first go around. I know I gotta check my Ph an stuff to see how much I need.

I don't think I would attempt spreading lime with a hand seeder It would take forever to put out 1000 pounds per acre

I put out 280 pounds of pelletized lime in my food plot by hand...no spreader...in about 1 hour. Nothing to it. Very easy and simple. Pour a bucket full then walk back and forth across the plot tossing out hand fulls. It will distribute pretty evenly with minimal effort. Disk it in and allow 3 to 6 months for it to work before planting.

yes, use pelletized lime for those "hard to get to" places.. I use a spreader that goes behind the 4 wheeler

Roger that fellas
I've got one place that is accessible by 4x4 truck, what causes it to not be accessible by 2 wheel drive is the hills. So one of the spreader trucks isnt an option. I can barely get up in in my duallie, which is a 4x4, its sooo long its hard to get it around through there. BUT once I get up the hill its flat and pretty clear minus the pine plantation. Im gunna do a couple of 1/2-1 acre plots on top of this hill.

Yep, if you get a truck in you should be able to get a tractor and buggy in there!
