how does everyone cover their seeds?
I use a piece of chain link fence about 5 foot wide and 5 foot long with a piece of piling strapped to the back. Seems to work fine but just looking for other peoples ideas.

Lightly disk for the larger seeds, oats, cereal rye, etc.
Cultipack for the small seeds, brassicas/clover.

And a 10 foot section Harrow
If I have the ground prepared and catch the weather right I just sow the small seeds right before or during a rain

Burn, disc twice, section hare, plant, section hare to cover. 52 acres.
Planted a week ago. Grass at 1.5" already with two weeks before first weekend hunt!
Sent by carrier pigeon. Don't look up.

A free pallet from the co op.... Just got home from doing my plot actually. Throw a 50 lb bag of seed or fertilizer on it and roll on.. Works like a charm

I had tons of spots where my dirt was piled up 9 to 13 inches high and that pallet with a little weight has smoothed it down with only one pass over to perfectly smooth.. Cant beat it

I've heard of using old box spring matress'. I USED to have a section harrow... my dad ended up smashing it with the track hoe on accident. SOO i'm gunna try this box spring method tomorrow and see. I've got an old metal box spring made of metal down in the shop im gunna try it

Re: how does everyone cover their seeds?
Looking back on my years of planting I have used multiple things... including.. a harrow, a pallet, and my personal favorite two years in a row I pulled the iron plate from the inside of a piano that the strings hook to.. it broke in half but we kept pullin with it till it went to the scrap yard. We never could figure out WHY there was a heavy piece of a piano out in the woods but we put it to use. LOL

Re: how does everyone cover their seeds?
Use a small 5' disk with a piece of angle iron welded to it to drag behind it for the wheat and oats, and then roll the cultipacker of the rye grass seeds.
