Work weekend

Postby lugnutzz » Fri Sep 28, 2012 7:09 pm

This is our work weekend at camp. I took off today to get some work done on my plots. I planted and limed/fertilized three today. One was dry dry. The other two had some moisture. Maybe with the rain coming I will be good.

I planted a blend of wheat, oats, peas, elbon rye, and rape. I didn't have my harrow and don't own a cultipacker yet, so I disked it all in. I ran it shallow and slow to keep from burying seed to deep. Fingers are crossed.

One plot left to do in the am..

You should be fine with the moisture.
I planted one week ago with no rain and
I looked at mine this morn and it is up an
inch or two already!
I planted one more plot this morn
and as soon as I finished up it started raining! :ylsuper:

I know it rained in and around Greenwood today but don't know if we got any on our food plots or not.
