This is a dunstan chestnut tree.

I'm really excited about this tree. I got it last june on clearance. It's huge!
I'm going to get a couple more dunstan trees for pollination.

I have 22 shumard oaks that I started from acorns in 3 gal pots
Is mostly what I have left to plant.
After that then I will fertilize some of my trees.
I never fertilize first year trees.

We have had good luck growing from acorns. This is one of the sawtooth we grew.

I put off making cages for my fruit trees long enough.
I finally got them around my fruit trees last weekend.

This is a scarlet oak that is supposed to grow well in rocky soil.
This hill has lots of rock and some gravel so I planted some scarlet oaks to see how they would do.
