Where are you located thinkin about plantin this next spring on my place. We plant soybeans every april and they are eatin and dead by the end of may no matter how much we plant . They won't let them get a half a foot high

Lawrence County. They are still eating my peas, but it's a lot of vines with very little leaves on them. They are full of booms and making peas.
They still look about like the pic I last posted with a less leaves.
I don't think they can last more than another week or so, but it will be time for fall plots
then anyway!

Ok thanks . U guess soybeans just don't grow fast enough for the deer I'm gonna try the iron clays next spring

I know some have good luck with soybeans, but I have always had good luck with peas.
They may eat the peas up also, but in my opinion you will have a better chance with them making it with the peas.
I have not tried soybeans, but a few friends of mine has.

My peas are starting to get hit very hard...we are guessing about one-two weeks will be it. It's exciting to see the deer using something I planted in June. Hoping it turns into some healthier deer. This was my first summer plot... I suppose I can just disk over the pea vines and plant seed mix of choice?

I tried to disc over the pea vines a couple years ago, and it was a big mess.
The vines would wrap around the disc blades untill I would have to take a blade and cut the vines out of the disc! Trust me......bushhogg the vines real good before you disk
