Went down Saturday and cut the food plots. The plan is to go back this weekend and disc and plant.

Started out Saturday morning battling wasps when I cranked up the tractor. We had it running 3 weeks ago and there were none on it then. They got settled in real quick. That nest was about 5" across!

Once we got down there we got to work. I cut the roads and my partner cut the parking area then started on the other plots.

At the end of the day we had won!

Then it was time to enjoy some of the views the river had to offer...

So nice! You had a jungle to contend with for sure! Ought to be some good deer around there.

I hope so. Last year, halfway through the season they (the Levee Board) got it in their head that they would log the property just to the south of us (it can be seen in the 5th picture down) and they tore that place UP!! They are not subtle by any definition of the word. I don't know if the guys that have that lease are even going to be down there this year. They said they may just wait till next year. Anyway, hopefully it pushed the deer on their end up to ours. Gonna be putting a camera out this weekend.
