Hi, I'm new to Ms deer net and would like to know how long it would take for my deer get used to a new feeder.
I used a gravity feeder last year with that ol' apple corn that they seem to really like.
Thanks for any replies !

welcome whiteoak...
i think it will depend on what the population of deer on your place is, and what other browse they have.. I tried a feeder one year, and never got any pics from it except coons & crows.. other folks i know have put a feeder out and had deer feeding from it within a week..

Re: New automatic deer feeder
Thanks gtk, I have two big food plots that are divided by trees, drainage
ditch and over growth. I believe I have 3 or 4 doe and 3 or 4 bucks (young 7 & 8 pointers) and a couple of yearlings from what I can tell from 1 camera.
I put up another one today on the other plot
I haven't bought a new feeder yet.
My gravity feeder worked fine last year , but the coons , foxes and opossums kept digging out my corn.
I'm wanting to put one out to save money on corn !

I use them and never had any issues. I fill them up in July though.

I hope that it will work out and I'm sure it will
I'm thinkin' this will work for us too , cause when old man winter sets in, these deer are gonna' need some groceries.

Some of the others can give you some great advice on feeders but our club don't allow the use of feeders so I can't offer any help.

When I hunted a lot in Ar where feeders are legal you could count on seeing deer within 10 minutes of an automatic feeder going off.
Mostly doe and young ones but an occasional buck.
