Plots looking rough

All the plots are looking rough being that they didn't have rain lately. Anyone else have plots that are struggling? I threw more seed out before the last rain but think it might be to cold now. Figured what could it hurt, at least the doves and turkeys will have something to eat if they don't come up.

Mine shot up early but seemed to have stalled out do have plenty of tracks in them probably getting eaten before they get up good. Use a winter seed so mine should stay green all winter at least I hope.

This is my worst looking plot. Last week before rain it looked real bad. I put ammonia on it last Saturday and it looks twice as good now.

Wish my plots looked like those. Ours are spotty at best, doesn't help that the turkeys and dove are getting fat now I have pics of about 18 Canadian geese munching on the plot as well. Oh well, guess i'll wait and see. Anybody have any good recipes for cooking a goose?

Looks good! Hope mine are looking a little better, I didn't go up the last two weeks so im keeping my fingers crossed. I like how you left some grass stand in the plot in that second plot, think I may try that from now on. Gives them a sense of closure when they are in there.

we try to leave spots and strips in all our plots on our leases it seems to keep the deer a little calmer. we only have the 2 plots on the power line... the gas line we have 12 but the gas line came in and bush hooged the gas line this year and we have no strips or any thing
