Started Working an A Couple Plots

We got out this weekend and started working on a couple of food plots before it got so hot around lunch time.

We got ours cut down, need to disc them up and get them ready to plant within the next couple of weeks.

When are we safe from army worms?? I usually plant the last couple weeks of September, but am questioning is that late enough this year with the army worms being so bad?

got mine disked this evening no pics cuz it was dark when we got done but gonna plant wednesday. what are these army worms yall speak of nothing ive ever heard of. got a bunch of seed and fertilizer to get in ground and i sure hope they dont make me waste my money and time....cant wait til october to plant because my buddy will be off shore and i dont have a tractor to redisk the plots so i have no option but to plant this week.

Nontypical not sure where you are, but up here (alcorn county) they are pretty much gone.

Cb123 they are actually moth larva that come through and eat all grass/crops in their way. Unless they are real bad, they seem to focus on the ends of the grass.

They are very active in the southwest part of the state. In this area you are usually ok after the end of September. I normally don't plant before the second week of October.

I'm located in Tate county which is directly south of Desoto county
