This is the only pic of the tree I have for now Image

It's about the size and shape of an onion or tomato but growing on a tree about 15ft tall. After pulling up fig pics it could be but still not sure because the inside looks different

Wow triple_deuce, think you might have found it. It looks exactly like the tung oil tree. I emailed someone with the MS extension service to see if they could tell me. I'll let y'all know for sure.

It's a tung but tree. It is poisonous

I did some reading on it and you're right it is poisonous. I heard back from them and they confirmed it is a tung tree. It is a native tree to china apparently. It is considered an invasive tree. They say it is a nice tree when it blooms though. Think I'll chop it down. I don't need my dog or anyone getting sick or dying because of it.

It was grown heavily around southern states I think back in early 1900 for the oils. It grows here and there and some places between ms/la it grows all over. Used to farm them and I guess the seed has been spread over the years.
