Rain and planting

Postby Part Time Hunter » Wed Sep 10, 2008 5:39 am

Does the amount of rainfall change your planting dates? It did for me this year, I planted yesterday because we have had so much rain in north Mississippi this year. I have always waited until the first of October unless I plan to bow hunt over the plot. I guess I am a little antsy this year and ready to get things kicked off.

If I could blame you for being anxious, then I would have saved a lot of money on magazine subscriptions this year!

The water can change planting dates, but if you don't plant until early October, you should have no problems.

Time is the real factor on when I plant. I will try and get it done in between work/cheerleading/karate/football/guitar lessons :?

Its about the same way with me, I knew if I didn't get it done when I had the time I might not get it done.
