Rain Tomorrow

Postby gtk » Mon Oct 06, 2008 9:05 am

I spent Saturday running trespassers off, and discing & getting a plot ready for seed.. The ground was hard as concrete, but I finally scratched the surface enough to hold seed. Of course by then, the stores were either closed or sold out of wheat/clover..

So, I'm taking 1/2 day this afternoon & going to spread some wheat/clover.. Should be good timing..

Timing should be good. I got my small plots behind the house planted by dark yesterday and hoping the weather forecasters are right. I have been waiting until the rain was coming before I planted.

If they have it get some "feed wheat" most of it will grow

A couple of years ago I wanted some sunflowers but wasnt going to pay the price for the seed. Bought a 5 pound bag of bird feed sunflowers and had one heck of a crop

Did you happen to see Craft / College over by the cornfields? Around 3:30 the water was FLOWING over the road. I guess he harvested that just in time.

His corn is the reason it overflowed.. . It looked like all the cornstalks stopped the culvert up :)

haha... like an idiot I drove through it. The current was strong enough I felt my car start to go sideways ... luckily I was almost out.

it made the news ... they were showing it from Chopper 5. :ylsuper:
