salt

Food Plot info/questions, Herd Management, QDMA ...

salt

does any one on here put out a salt block or a bag of salt for deer im thinking about putting some out this year sometime just not sure what one be better

salt and mineral block is what I put out in early spring.

If I can find it I have a mixture that will help with milk production from the doe Healthy doe mean healthy fawns :2TU:

Dusty go to this thread this is some good stuff and helps the bucks as well as the doe with fawns
All this should be available at a GOOD feed store
Follow the directions about mixing precisely
Good Luck on making them big "Big Creek" deer bigger :D

All I have left this year is holes where deer have been trying to get the salt and minerals out of the ground. The blocks usually last me a year but it was really wet this year.

yea ill try to get some this weekend and put my cam on it soon to see what licking it or eating the salt yea i want to get the blocks how much they run i never checked on them

I wonder if wild hogs will use salt lick same as deer or run the deer off and us the lick for themselves... :roll: .

I have used this recipe since you posted last year and it works great. I just freshend my spots up last weekend.
