Spring Food Plots

Postby mshunter » Sun Apr 30, 2006 8:00 pm

Just finished planting at Rocky Hill Hunting Club April 14th :D .
We planted Durana Clover , Buckwheat , Purple Top Turnips, and Cow Peas. We mixed everything together except the Clover that was planted seperately. The Durana is supposed to be a 8 year clover according to our area Biologist.
Took a look at these plots April 25th and with several rains :D :D everything seems to be popping up very nicely with a good application of green all over.

Anyone else planted anything??? :?:

thanks, now you make me feel even more behind than before. :)

i have to get on the ball and get some work done. It will probably start raining every weeekend now.

I at least want to get my corn in the ground this month. Last year I had crow/critter problems and ended up replanting in june, which was almost TOO late..

We've got about 800 acres of corn in the ground and will start on the cotton tomorrow. All of the areas that I could plant either have cotton or corn on it or cows grazing it so my summer plots are in row crops.

Durana is a White Clover similar to Imperial Whitetail distributed by Pennington
