I have one out of Cabela's just like it ($89.99 I think) and it is well worth it IMO not much recoil at all. just make sure the stockbutt sits in it and not on it.

I use to have a .338 and with a regular rest it would whip your $@#, but when I got this one, whipping was there no more. I sure DON'T miss the .338. Love my .45/70 though. My buddy has a Lead Sled and they are about the same as far as felt recoil. ( not much)

worth it if you want to sight in quickly. I've tried the sand bag, a cheap rest, and finally borrowed a friend's good rest. Night and day difference, especially if you use enough weight.

I can tell you to stay away from the HySkore ultimate shooting rest in Cabela's. It worked great at first but after setting a couple of rifles it got "loose". You get the sucker to hold steady for nothing. I can get my rifles closer by shooting from a bipod at 100 yards.

I did take it and tighten everything down so that it can't move at all... works pretty good like that. :? :?

Sportsman's Warehouse has one very similar to the Cabelas' one that is on sale. Reg 69.95 on sale for 49.95. Be worth your time to check it out. Merry Christmas All.
