Stupid Stupid Stupid... More on the 45-70 Scope fiasco

Postby gtk » Tue Jan 09, 2007 7:15 pm

What is the first thing you check for if your scope will not hold zero ? :livid:

I went and bought a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 this afternoon.. I get ready to put in on the 45-70 and guess what ........

Now the delima, keep the Prostaff or try the Redfield Tracker 3-9x40 again ?

One word for you to learn today. " LOC-TITE"
Remember it and use it on everything.

I had put lock-tite on everything except the big screws that hold the weaver rings to the base... I guess I forgott that.. The worst part is I know better than to overlook something like that..
