Federal Fusion Ammo...

Postby ufgators68 » Fri Jan 26, 2007 7:49 am

any of y'all have any experience with it? I can't find the Federal Vital Shok 115 grain trophy bonded bear claws that I usually use. Seems as though Federal may have dropped the line.

Don't even suggest Remington ammo, I refuse to use it. I have never had good results with their ammo, even in their rifles.  I could go back to the Winchester Supreme Ballistic Silvertips but I'd love to get something a little less expensive. :?

:D Gather up or let me know what you want and we'll make a homebrew remedy that will "deliver the mail" if you shoot a bolt action. :) I have a set of 25 06 neck size dies That will do just fine if you saved the brass from your rifle

I just threw out 2 boxes of federal brass.  When I get some more, I may take you up on that offer. What would you charge to work up a few loads for me to try out?

I thought about using the Accubond CT's but then I saw the price.  I buy 5 boxes at a time and that would HURT!

:nono: Threw it out :nono: I'll pay 10 cents a round or more for brass plus shipping to me if its too far for me to drive.
I load the following now and am adding more
223
243
25 06
270
7mm Rem Mag
7mm 08 soon
308
30 06
30 30
38 55
45 70
So if anyone has extra brass they dont need let me know
Just a quick estimate on the 25 06 around 60-65 bucks for 100 rounds if you have the brass

I'll know from now on.  I think I have a few rolling around in the bed of my truck. I always pick up my spent brass from the field or target range but they always end up in the floor board of the truck or the bed.

I'll have to see if they're still in the garbage can in my shed, hopefully I haven't changed the bag in there yet. :? They might not have been 2 full boxes but I've probably got enough empties in the cab and bed of my truck to make up for it.

ufgators,

I have a box of the fusion, but haven't fired a round. I was waiting till I shot my remaining silver tip ballistics, but only shot once this season and that was a beaver.

that's next on my list now that my deer season is over. Or maybe that's right behind rabbit hunting.
