Ammo

Postby gtk » Sat Jan 05, 2013 2:27 pm

Is impossible to find. I was looking for .22"s so we could plink in the back yard but can't find any!

Went to sportsman warehouse last night and Most "common" ammo is non-existent. Even reloading supplies are scarce.

When will this craziness end?

Ammo

Postby 6speed60 » Sat Jan 05, 2013 2:38 pm

I went in there a couple weeks ago and their entire rack was pretty wiped out. I don't think this will end until either they jack prices through the roof (which is what everyone is afraid of I think), or the govt stops talking about new gun laws.

They have been out of most primers and common powders since before Christmas. When their reloading department is fully stocked(which isnt often) , they have a good selection. It may have something to do with the 3000 primers I bought :party All I know is that these ammo and gun manufacturers and retailers are making a fortune.

You got that right stickers.. Sometimes I wonder if gun/ammo manufacturers keep up the "hype" just to increase their sales?

You dont think they would do something like that do you ;) . Even as dumb as our govt. seems to be. Even they would realize it is easier to ban ammo or components(such as primers) than firearms thereby rendering any firearm worthless. Kinda like if there was no gas for vehicles.

Went to Sportsmans yesterday to get a die for my 25-06 and noticed a sign in the ammo dept that is now putting restrictions on how much ammo or components a customer can buy. I told the guy that would be nice if yall actually had something left to sell.

Most of our local hunting stores are out or have limited supply. What they have is high they keep jacking the prices.

Talked to one of my buddies today that works for a gun shop in town. He said the reason they can't get any ammo such as 223,9mm etc. is because homeland security is buying ever bit of it they can get there hands on.
