Gun and Ammo

Postby jbullard1 » Sun Apr 14, 2013 3:43 pm

Have any of you looked lately? I shop/look online every chance I get
I am seeing sporadic availability of a lot of components for reloading, as well as factory loaded rounds.
I recently picked up a Ruger P-95 in Tupelo for 325 +tax
Looked at several 45's at decent prices
I even bought 200 rounds of Winchester 45ACP for 80 bucks (I can't reload that cheap)and don't own a 45ACP
Thing is the 22 rimfire, it's still unavailable and over priced if it can be found, What gives on the 22's?

I honestly haven't been looking. I got so discouraged looking for reloading stuff that I gave up. I figured I would try to out-wait the craze. I would think things would calm down by summer. When its hot outside, most folks don't seem to be too interested in guns & reloading..

Like jb, 22's are impossible to find at most locations but have seen larger rifle ammo starting to show up on shelves but in a lot of cases don't last to long.

A gun shop close to where I'm at does a pretty good job of keeping 22s but like most places when he is out it takes him a while to get more in. The owner sells what he has but keeps at least 100 rounds for each 22 rifle he has so if someone buys the gun they have the option to buy ammunition with it.

Yea thats an excellent idea.. I know I went to buy a rugar .380 years ago and then the guy said.." I'll sell it to ya but we dont have any ammo and dunno where any is". I walked out the door and he lost the sale of a gun. Had he had the smarts to have X amount of ammo on hand he woulda sold the ammo AND a gun.
