Sticker Shock

Postby jbullard1 » Mon Jul 09, 2007 6:59 pm

I was killing some time earlier today and decided to check out a local archery shop in Grenada Ms. How does anyone afford to shoot these broadheads, arrows and bows. I've been out of touch with archery for several years but never dreamed a broadhead could cost $15.00 each and a bow $750.00 plus

Agreed :)

You ought to price some "traditional" bows too... Nothing but a stick of wood and a piece of string, and will cost you more than a fine rifle would :?

if you want back in the game of stick and string just get ready about next month. The classifieds will be full of 1-2 yr old bows b/c some people just hafta have the newest out there and they will need money to buy the new one. Get a whole setup ready to go at about 50% cost when you work them a little. The closer to season the better for a good deal. Mine is probably 8-10 yrs old and still kills deer just as dead as a new Mathews.

there you go bullard, see its fully loaded and ready for a new shooter. nothing wrong with a PSE. As a matter of fact, the new PSE will out perform the Mathews with only one exception and it was sound at only, yeah get this, .00001 Db. start dealing for "your" new bow.
