Any recommendations on a high quality lower for a 5.56 target rifle?

I really like the 2 stage trigger.

Ive used Rock River Arms as well. I also built one for a friend on a budget using an Anderson lower and its pretty smooth as well.

Jerry in my opinion a lower is a lower. It's the trigger and the upper components that'll get your accuracy. I'd spend less on lower and put a $250-300 trigger in it. The 277 I demoed during deer season SCARED me the 1st time I shot it. All I did was think about shooting it and BOOM! It shot consistent 200yd 3 shot groups that were nickel size.
