Building An AR - 15 Rifle Tutorial

Postby jbullard1 » Mon Feb 01, 2016 2:44 pm

You can build one in many different calibers and can spend just as much money as you want to.
Actually I will not be building the rifle, just assembling the parts and reloading the ammo for it.
I am going to keep the caliber secret on this one until I give it to my wife HoneyBee.
In the past I have done a few 5.56 in rifle and carbine lengths, 300 AAC Blackout in carbine length and suppressed, 300AAC Blackout in pistol length supersonic, 5.56 10.5" barrel pistol (LOUD) (LOUD) :bash: A 6.5 Grendel long range that is a tack driver, I love the Timeny trigger set at 3" but they are a little pricey.
For this project I will assemble a rifle based on the 5.56 brass so everything works as it should.

One of the first items you will need is the stripped lower.
This is the only part of the build that has to be registered.
And when built to standard military specifications you can change the upper barrel assemblies at will.
That is one reason I like this rifle style.

There are special tools needed and I have them if you need assistance assembling the lower or upper.

I am hoping some of the parts I have on order will show up soon so I can get started on this picture/comment heavy post
