Removing camo tape from barrel....

Postby Slobberknocker » Sun Feb 15, 2009 9:48 pm

Got my hands on a double barrel 12 guage muzzle loader. It had camo tape on it and I took it off. Now I have to deal with the adhesive. Any body have any ideas what I can use to get that stuff off?

try Goo-Gone, it works well on the adhesive. Just be careful if it has a nice finish, don't know how it'll treat it.

Heat with hairdryer or heatgun to remove tape.
Goof-off or Opps (same as Goo gone) will get most of the goo.

then white vinegar. clean good and oil after.

Yall may think this is weird and laugh... but borrow your wife's Avon Skin-so-soft. It will remove almost anything and wont hurt the finish. It is oily and you will have to clean it off good, but it will remove it... I have used it for this....
