That looks sweet! My uncle was talking about browning a gun barrel the other day...when you posted something about it I had no clue.

Thanks, there is alot of elbow grease in there, probably took me about a month and a half or so of sanding here and there for 1-2 hours at a time. I browned it when I originally built the gun (when I was about 14) but didn't slick it down before I did it and was never really happy with it. So several months ago I sanded it down and tried it again, it isn't exactly as I hoped but i'm still pleased with it and it looks 100% better than the original job. It isn't hard to do, just takes patience and elbow grease. There are some helpful sites on the net with some good tips, unfortunately I didn't find them until I was about finished.

He was telling me how much work it was. He's an antique gun fanatic. Got thousands tied up and is always buying and selling them.
