Hi Pat.. Are you referring to uploading a picture to the forum, or the photoalbum?

To upload to the forum, click on the "Browse" button below, select then select the picture to upload.

If you do not see the "Browse/add the file" buttons, click on "full editor" at the bottom of the post.

That is a cspire problem. I wish we had not just signed a new contract.

You using a photo app like Photobucket, or are you talking about loading to this forum with your phone browser?

If you are using a photo app there are two ways around that. One is simple, find an open WiFi and upload it there. Many restaurants now let you do that. Otherwise, the way to do it is enable a VPN (Virtual Private Network.) If you use a VPN, it basically bypasses all the DNS servers of CSpire except the one going to the VPN server.

Now if you are uploading to this forum not using a Photo App, try using the browser called Mini Opera. It does get around most all the CSpire DNS problems. Only thing it doesn't do is show embedded YouTubes and some other fancy stuff like that. If you are trying to upload straight to MSDeer, I sure would try it. It's easy enough to set up so it would be worth trying even if it did not work. You really would not be out much.

I upload to photobucket from my cSpire phone. Then save from photobucket onto my computer, from here they are small enough to upload directly into the thread without have to resize or post a URL link. A little extra time, but for a simpleton like me that's the way to go.

Ok, the text uploaded without the photo despite Tapatalk saying the upload went through successfully.

Less than 60 seconds before I did successfully upload a different photo to my hunting journal using tapatalk on my smart phone with cspire service.

Prior to the last few days Tapatalk has worked great over Cspire with photos being uploaded easily.

I see three possibilities which GTK may be able to shed some light upon.

If the problem is with Tapatalk:

1) MSDeer may need to update server side software to install a Tapatalk update.

2) All of us who use Tapatalk my need to update our applications.

If the problem is with CSpire:

3) Cspire may have changed its service plans to block the uploading of photos due to bandwidth concerns.

Frankly, I doubt the problem is with Cspire. I'm betting Tapatalk has made an update to its software and that MSDeer needs to also update its plug ins. Why?

Because I also get frequent messages saying I need to be logged in to post, despite actually being logged in. And occasionally I get the "invalid" photo messages too. Plus, some times the photos do go through. If Cspire had blocked all photos due to a change in plans, NO photos would go through. I think it is a case of the client side software not "talking to" the server side software correctly. That is what it looks like. But I could be wrong.

Too many of us are getting the same error messages and weird results which indicates it is a system wide problem.

Hope we can get this fixed soon. Then we can all upload easily without needing a work around solution. Pat, I don't think any of this is related to anything you are doing or not doing. Hang in there.

That works a lot easier than the way I was doing it.
I have been uploading to my Geocaching profile then copy & past the address into my message.

pat, send me the file you are trying to upload.. admin@msdeer.net

More than likely, the file is too large. When you try to upload the file, does it prompt you to choose "Large, Medium, or Small" ? And are you choosing to upload to this forum? Don't choose the option to save the pic to tapatalk..

The problem is most definitely connected to your phone or Cspire. I had it happen several times a few weeks back. Then later they would load with no problem. Don't know the answer.
