New member south mississippi

Postby Cb123 » Thu Dec 17, 2015 3:48 pm

I live in south mississippi. Very new to whitetail hunting. I am from Oregon and we hunt blacktail, mule deer, and elk. I am an avid hunter and will get in the woods to hunt on every opportunity but so far whitetails have me absolutely skunked. I'm still learning a lot that's why I am joining the forum. I joined a hunting club recently but if anyone has information to a new whitetail deer hunter then I'm all ears.

Welcome to the forums. We have members with a wealth of information, and members that are full of... well you know! LOL. Whitetail deer in MS and across the south are definitely different to hunt. But what a great new challenge in your hunting journey.

Welcome to the forum! The first advice I will give you is forget everything you have learned from the tv about hunting whitetails. It just doesn't work that way in the south. Next, ask BigSteve what to do. We are glad to have you.
