Good luck to you too lady. I just now got through loading all of my gear in the truck and the safety harness is on top of everything. I had a climber fall 15-16 years ago while I was climbing and not wearing a harness, luckily I was only 9-10 ' up the tree when it happened. I haven't climbed a tree without a harness since.

We had a good opening day. Learned some things had some fun. Didn't see anything this morning. We were late getting to the stand this afternoon, but we went. I saw several does, but no shots. They stayed just out of range and in and out of thickets. But it made for a great time in the woods. Ben actually got a shot at a doe. We found his arrow, but no blood. It appears he shot under her. But he was super excited. He said he was shaking, so he knew he missed. I told him if he ever stopped getting excited it was time to quit. My youngest son Dallas got a doe, of course out of one of my stands!

Sunday afternoon I saw several does all with spotted fawns. I just can't shoot one of those does.

The first one with a bow is the hardest the buck fever is what it is all about Believe it or not that was my hardest hurdle to cross for me in my younger years I would get so excited I would actually hyperventilate the only way I could shoot was to sit and miss yes I did took 11 long years for my first deer density was a lot lower than they are today a miss then might have been the season tell him he will learn from his mistakes
