I hunt there some I mainly hunt south of hwy 30 lots of hardwood with pine stands mixed in. Right now find a creek bottom with white oaks with acorn dropping. There are a few lakes and small ponds there they are marked on the map. Some decent bucks there.

Where do you live?

Have never hunted there but it has some beautiful woods on it.

When hunting public land never over look the obvious try to get away from the crowd get a topo map find areas hard to access I have found the average hunters won't take advantage of some of the areas because of access these places can be a goldmine I hunt public land 90%of the time if you put forth the effort it can be rewarding

welcome DC16. Several folks on here live in/around OB. Lots of deer killed in/around HollySprings NF.

Also, there are some restrictive use areas around Arkabutla that hold some good deer.
