i started processing my own meat after two very bad experiences with local processors . 24 lbs of meat already cut up to make brats and summer sausage cost me 130 dollars the summer sausage was jalapeno and cheddar he didnt use hi temp cheese it was just a melted mess. The brats also jalapeno and cheddar were ok i ate most of them, after 3 mos. i had two brats left i cooked them, ate them and thought i was dying. this was at 301
processing. the other processor was in nesbit i wont even start with this fellow processing jalapeno and cheddar

Mike Triplett, at the Buck Shop, in Pocahontas. Is having another fantastic year. Added an extra smoker this past summer and still can't keep up. Twelve employees, and has been turning folks away for the past four weeks. He can freeze & process later, turning out 1,400 lbs of sausage a day. Folks must be knocking um down.

My son and his father in law has a deer processing plant in Leake County. It's Hall's Processing on Highway 25 just outside the city limits about a mile and a half north of the intersection of 25 and 35. They have had two successful seasons. They process deer and feral hogs. They also skin the deer for you. My son's name is Lane Wilkinson and his father in law is Jimmy Hall. I hope anybody in the surrounding area will remember that and call or visit this fall.601-741-0708

First off, I would like to apologize for any inconveniences some of you have experienced at our processor, especially you amazzie. We try to keep high quality production and I have no explanation for what happened to your order besides the fact that we aren't perfect.

We do, however, offer samples of everything available. We encourage all of our customers to try it before you buy it. We do not batch process. You will get YOUR meat back. And that means ALL of it. We don't give you back 20lbs of meat and use the rest to fill other orders. We strive to keep quality as high as we can and give you every ounce of meat on your deer back.

WE ARE NOT CHEAP. Due to an increase in - literally - all of our expenses, our prices have gone up, and I won't sugarcoat it, a LOT. We realize that we will lose some business because of this, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we will not lower our quality to save money.

I hope that everyone will review the price list - which is available on our website and will be all over DeSoto County on our brochures in the next month - before bringing us your deer.

gtk, if you could, please add the link to our website to the original post. I appreciate you including us on the list here.

Website: www.hwy301dp.com

Again, for those of you who like our product, we apologize for the increase in price. For those of you who visit us for quality and aren't concerned with the price increase, we thank you and will be glad to see you this season.

If you have any questions or concerns with the updated price list or any other issues, please give us a call:

I appreciate that. If you want to come buy and try some stuff, we should have samples available by the second week of October, or as soon as me and my brother can lay some down. lol

I highly recommend hwy 301 deer processing! I took one deer to Desoto archery and got maybe a 30lb sack of meat back on a full sized doe. Hwy 301 gives me atleast twice as much meat back if not more. The quality of meat at both places are neck and neck. But I have no idea what Desoto archery did with my other half of deer?? I recommend hwy 301 to anyone! You get your deer back in a timely manner also. I think Desoto archery took a close to a month to get my one 2/3rds full paper grocery sack of meat back from a full sized doe.

Hunter's Deer Processing in Fort Necessity, LA. The best deer burger on this earth. Also process hogs. Extremely friendly people. Always happy to see you bringing them something, unlike some places I've used.
