TN Hunter Kills 300" Nontypical

303 inch TN 47pt 2016.jpg

The rack measured in at 313 and 2/8ths inches. That score fell to 303 and 3/8ths inches after accounting for deductions defined by Boone and Crockett. That's still a green score, as it still has to dry.

those nontypicals are some awesome racks but I'd still rather get a nice looking typical.

Naw, my mind has no perception of how to dream up a buck like that.. Would you really wanna kill a freak like that? I mean how do you get excited about the next buck that may walk by when that's your biggest?

I don't know about that. I've killed a 170" 10pt, a 14pt non typical and a 15 pt nontypical, and I still get a rush and buck fever when a mature South MS whitetail comes out on me, even though the average buck around here is a 15" 8 pt that probably scores around 100". It's the hunt - trying to outwit a creature that is the master of his domain, with the added bonus of feeding the family. Plus I love to be outdoors, love taking my son out (he thinks I a Daniel Boone or something, lol!) and I think we all share those things in common, regardless of how many we kill or how big they are.

So true, but that's why I love it. You never know when that freak will step out.
