Stupid Me

Postby terry08 » Wed Nov 23, 2016 5:01 am

I planned to spend the whole week hunting. It started out well. But yesterday, I needed to get the 120 quart cooler off my truck. Loaded with deer and ice. Sherrie offered to help even insisted. But the fact she has been down with the crud all week, I decided to go it alone, bad mistake. Got up this morning with severe pain in lower left back barley able to walk. Just took ibuprofen, I am going if I got to crawl on my knees.
If I get one, I may need to call 911 for help getting it out.

You right bigsteve, years ago and add a few more to that rain would not have stopped me from going. Had my truck loaded last night for this morning but when I opened the garage door it was a light rain so I went back to bed, pouring down now.

Take care of your back, no fun. It could be worse, I have been off work for 4 months, had nerve pain down both legs, had nerve blocks that didn't work, missed all bowseason, finally had surgery a couple weeks ago. I'm hoping I will be able to hunt and salvage a little bit of season. Hopefully things are headed in the right direction. Still have some nerve pain in legs, but Dr says it has been pinched for a while and may take time to heal itself

I hear it all the time from my surgery patients that I'm recovering, "forgot I wasn't as young as I once was." Give that back a rest buddy!
