Must be starting here. Was taking a beautiful back road home from Canton, late yesterday. 3/4 of a mile ahead something was standing in the road. Thought maybe horse, as I got closer, I could see a beautiful rack. I realized he wasn't going to move, was smelling the asphalt, and I actually pulled within 10 feet of him before he just walked off the road to the fence line and kept smelling the ground. He best be thankful it was me. I know a lot of folks who would risk a fine to take him.
Was quite a site to see.

its been on in Desoto county for a week or more now.. This is the time of year when buck sightings usually drop off for me, and the rest of the state is just getting going good

Tomorrow is going to be a perfect day to hunt. Crisp temperatures, light winds, and rut is on.

Yep, seems to be dwindling off now. Not seeing near as much activity as previous 2 weeks. It goes as fast as it comes it seems :(

Still got about a month before it even starts here. Got a picture of a doe last time I pulled the cards that still looks like she need to drop a fawn. So there may even be later for the rut.
